Meet The Team

Eloïse Mayall

Studio Owner | Pilates Instructor

Eloise first came across pilates at university when she was trying to find a way to manage her frequent stress migraines and headaches.  It quickly became her go-to solution and she participated in weekly classes for 10 years.  Then,  she made the leap and qualified as a pilates instructor in 2014, initially teaching just mat classes, then adding to her brief with further qualifications in teaching reformer, cadillac and wundachair pilates as well. Eloise has taught as several local studios over the years as a self-employed instructor, but was thrilled to have the opportunity to take over Barefoot Flow Pilates Studio in 2024.  With her additional training as a Sport Massage Therapist, Eloïse has particular interest in pilates as a form of prehab and rehab.  "Helping people to improve the way they move so they stay functionally fit for as long as possible is the ultimate job satisfaction.  That said, there is always as special place in my heart for general mat pilates, after all that is where I discovered the power of Contrology!"

Kan Frances-Benedict

Kan was inspired to become a pilates instructor by the realisation that there are not many instructors in her demographic bracket - middle aged woman of colour - She believes that pilates is an inclusive method that is open to everyone.  Initially Kan trained with YMCAFIT as a reformer instructor,  then subsequently qualifying as a mat instructor with STOTT.  In her teaching, Kan's goal is to accommodate all ages, all fitness levels and to make everyone in the class feel both welcome and comfortable.  Her classes will challenge participants to safely push themselves; she includes plenty of tips, teaching points and encouragement to help her clients both achieve their movement goals and feel good about themselves.
