Eloïse Mayall
Eloïse is the owner of Barefoot Flow Pilates Studio and an instructor with over a decade of teaching experience. She first came to Pilates as a way to manage posture‑related headaches and quickly discovered how transformative the method could be. Since qualifying in 2014, she has expanded her training to include reformer, cadillac, tower and wunda chair Pilates, alongside her work as a Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist. Her teaching is considered, technique‑focused and quietly encouraging, with a particular interest in Pilates as both prehab and rehab. She is committed to helping clients move well, feel confident and stay functionally fit for life.
My Story
My Pilates journey began at university, when a physiotherapist suggested it might help with my posture and the stress migraines I was experiencing. He was right. Pilates quickly became my weekly anchor — a place to breathe, move and reset — and I stayed committed to classes for the next ten years.
In 2014, I decided to take the leap and train as a Pilates instructor. I began by teaching mat classes, then gradually expanded my qualifications to include reformer, cadillac, tower and wunda chair Pilates. Over the years, I taught in several local studios as a self‑employed instructor, gaining experience with a wide range of clients and movement needs. Alongside this, I qualified as a Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist in 2016, which deepened my understanding of anatomy, injury patterns and functional movement. This combination of skills shaped my interest in Pilates as both prehab and rehab — a way to help people move better, feel stronger and stay active for as long as possible.
Taking over Barefoot Flow Pilates Studio in 2024 was an opportunity I couldn’t resist. The studio allows me to teach in all the ways I love: group classes, private sessions, mat, reformer and mixed apparatus. I enjoy offering clear, technique‑focused classes with variations for every ability, and I keep a close eye on each client so they always feel supported and able to succeed. There’s something special about watching a movement “click” for someone — whether it’s their first roll‑up or a small shift in alignment that changes everything.
Outside the studio, I’m happiest walking in the countryside, reading, cooking and getting back into swimming. Pilates remains the thread that ties everything together: a method that continues to challenge, support and inspire me, and one I’m proud to share with the Barefoot Flow community.
