Owned by Eloïse since 2024, Barefoot Flow blends classical Pilates principles with contemporary anatomical understanding and equipment. It is a studio shaped by history, care and a deep respect for the lineage of Contrology.

The studio’s story begins in the late 1990s, when Sandrine’s Pilates Studio opened its doors on London Road - the very first dedicated Pilates studio in Tunbridge Wells. For more than two decades Sandrine built a loyal community and introduced countless people to the benefits of mindful, intelligent movement. In 2021, Sandrine closed her London Road studio for the last time, marking the end of an era. Shortly afterwards, Jo Brown founded Barefoot Flow, continuing the spirit of small, attentive classes and welcoming movement for all.

In 2024, Eloïse took over Barefoot Flow Pilates Studio and has been welcoming clients there ever since. Her vision has expanded the studio’s offering while honouring its heritage. Today, Barefoot Flow provides mat and reformer classes, private sessions, and - more recently - mixed studio apparatus classes, making it the only studio in Tunbridge Wells to offer this classical, multi-discipline, multi‑apparatus approach.
